Why Do This Now?

Faith, Purpose, and Justice are primary threads in the tapestry of my life. I am standing on the verge of a number of third times: third time retaking the bar, third time attacking the Wonderstruck Lenten Bible Challenge. Each year I have done this challenge I have learned something different (learned in the sense of it got embedded in my spirit). The first year: God is truly more obsessed the deeply important things: Justice, Love, Fairness, Equity, Hope than those that choose to follow Him. God is far more complex in his actions and motivations than our limits on our faith and theology would have us accept. Example: take the issue of genocide and balance it with the repeated offers of forgiveness. God is always playing the long game with his consistent underlying motives (see above). Second Year: God is always asking (and answering in a lesser degree) big questions and wants us to do the same. Stop thinking small (sounds prosperity gospel-esque, but it isn't). As activists, adv...
